Kenny's 3rd Birthday

Kenny turned three years old on October 28th, and it was a glorious, warm, late fall Friday. We celebrated after work by playing in the leaves, and burying some presents for the birthday boy to find.

Then we went inside for a bit and dad set out Ken's big gift - a real bike!

Figuring things out

Upon his dad's insistence, we got KBB a nerf gun for his birthday too. I had hoped he would be a little older before we had to get into this world, but already everything is a gun with this kid, so I am trying to just go with the flow.

Target practice

Nice moves!

Bang! I told him not to point that thing at me! But I get a kick out of how pleased he looks in this picture.

He told me: "I'm going to ride, and find the bad guys, and shoot them!!" I guess there's a new sheriff in town.

On Saturday we had a little birthday party with Barett family aunts and uncles and grandmas.

The fun continued well into Sunday. We started by carving our Halloween pumpkins:

Two Jack-O-Lanterns!

Then we headed to Nana and Oompa's house for a Hansen family birthday party for Kenny and Uncle Jeremy.
