Some Kenny Firsts

Well, we've been very busy with work, getting Kenny's first cold, and chasing Kenny around as he launches through a series of baby milestones at lightning speed. Here are some photos of the past few weeks:

Kenny's Exer-Saucer, he loves this thing and has mastered all of the toys on it already

Trying to use the bottle by himself, he still has a little ways to go on this

Kenny as imagined by the Renaissance masters

Happy boy! We are lucky to get a lot of these smiles these days, and many laughs too

First rice cereal! This was just yesterday. He was very into the idea of it, but did not grasp that he needed to swallow the food. It all dribbled out the sides.

There's a first time for everything!

He is SO sweet. I'm sorry to hear he got his first cold. All my kids got their 1st colds at around 5 months too. I imagine there wasn't too much sleep those nights.

I love Kenny as imagined by the Masters! he's a masterpiece all right!

What a handsome boy!!! He seems like a happy fella, too, just like his namesake. Looks like mom Britta and dad Eric have settled into their new roles nicely. Good job, you guys.

I love Kenny's expression in the last picture. He really seems to be suffering through this whole cereal thing.

He does! In that last picture it looks like he's sighing in resignation.

I like his little hands up in the 2nd-to-last, kinda helplessly, like -- should I knock the spoon away? Should I grab it myself? Do I like this? Am I scared?

(Zanners says, "Yes, you should take it and whip it across the room!")

I just noticed the size of that bowl! How much cereal is the little guy going to eat??

Britta, Edwin is amazed by how fast Kenny is growing. "At first he looked like an old Irish man and now he already looks like a cutie macho guy" So, there's that.

I love his renaissance portrait, great chiaroscuro, he looks like a freakin' cherub!

Kenny Hansen, I'm so jealous that other people get to see you crawling around. Wish I could visit you, little buddy!
