Tree Pruning

We’ve been in the dark heart of winter up here for nearly two months- so there has not been a lot to report. The most exciting photos I have to share are from mid January when we had the ‘Gypsy Tree Crew’ over to prune our two magnificent oak trees. The Gypsy crew consists of Jeff, an arborist that I work with, and his friend Nick who is also an arborist by trade. They are really fun and knowledgeable guys and it was totally fascinating to watch them climb all over these huge trees. Eddy stood by as a mascot to the entire operation. And I made lunch for all the men-folk which made me feel like Laura Ingalls when the harvesters came. Except I did not make a pie and forget to put the sugar in it. I just stayed away from the pies altogether.
