Independence Day

On the 4th of July Eric and I celebrated our day-long (or afternoon-long in his case) Independence from work by having a little party for family and friends at Eric's parent's home at the lake. It was great because the temp was literally over 100 degrees. Unfortunately it was too hot for many of our guests to even drive themselves over to the party. But for those who did make it, I imagine it was one of the best places to be in Minnesota that day.

Kipper and Rog, takin' it easy

The fireworks started to make Clark nervous

How did I miss Ariel at the groom's dinner?! Your mom had raved about her.

Clark looks sweet, too.

Looks like a laid-back time. Happy 4th!!

What a great way to spend a hot Minnesota 4th of July. We would have loved to join you. But I must say - and Mom can attest - I cook a mean Trader Joe's pre-cooked baby back ribs on the grill. We probably could have warmed them in the microwave in a fraction of the time and they would have tasted the same, but I was out there with the grill doing my 4th of July thing. We miss you guys.
