Breaking the Heat Wave

This is literally the cloud that saved our sanity. It was about 100 degrees for 5 days straight here (all the while mom was gone) last week. It was getting to be enough to drive a Minnesotan mad. Finally, on Friday evening, about 1/2 hour before I went to pick mom up from the airport, this big old cloud came rolling in with a little rain, and the temperature dropped 20 degrees instantly. I have seen this phenomenon time and again, but it never ceases to amaze me. Mom, you have no idea how lucky you were to be in Monterey when you were.

What an amazing cloud! I that picture where Uncle E is walking towards it -- like his mother ship is in there somewhere and has finally come back for him. Glad your heat wave broke.
