SF Trip

I had a wonderful labor day weekend visiting my 'Sons' in San Francisco. They are both now employed at a prestigious international landscape architecture firm called SWA. Shannon works in the SF office, and Chelsea is at the Sausalito one. Here we are giving ourselves a three-way handshake congratulations for actually finishing grad school. Feels pretty good.

We did lots of fun stuff, like going shopping in Japantown. Here we are sampling some sweet bean balls (surprisingly delicious):

And we went for some refreshment at the Kabuki Baths and Sauna, which was probably the best thing ever. I wish we had one of these in Minnesota.

Shopping downtown at Union Square,

And shopping at cute boutiques near the Mission,

We actually both bought these sunglasses.

And finally, a hike to the top of Bernal Hill- which is SCARY!!!

But well worth is, for the amazing view of SF:

Oh! I am so happy you were all reunited! And in beautiful SF, no less. The picture of you in the sunglasses is adorable! You look like cute little high-school Britta. Dare I notice that you and Chelsea are downsizing (sunglasses) somewhat these days? And just when I'd almost gotten up the courage to buy a pair that engulf my entire face!

I think you should all start using "Sweet Bean Balls!" as an exclamation of surprise/delight.

Sweet Bean Balls! Andria got it right - you do look like high school Britta in that photo. Very cute. I love Chelsea's haircut.
