Surgery

The big day finally came and went- and I survived my surgery. Thank you all for the wonderful cards and calls and flowers and chocolates. They all made me feel a lot better. Here is a chronicle of events:
Last shot of neck before removal.

Eric's neck, in case you were wondering.

Waiting anxiously.

Hospitals are no fun.

All dressed and ready to go.

And DONE! Just like that! I didn't even know they were going to put me under before it was all over.

I now understand why popsicles are so great after surgery. My throat really hurt!

Hope that is not too graphic for you all.

Eric after a sleepless night in the hospital.

Flowers from Eric, Chelsea/Shannon, and Dad.

Wheeling me out.

Not feeling so hot yet.

First soup at home in the nice jammies from mom. Thanks!

Evil B making herself at home in my flower jungle.

Eric and Chelsea went and got us Udon soup on my first night home. I was well taken care of!

Nice chronicle of events. Looks like you are in good hands with Eric and company.

How come the hospital gown has a paw on it?

Ohhh, our poor Auntie B!!!! You look so tough with that bandage on your neck, like you got in a knife fight in an alley.

I did not notice that paw print on the gown 'til T-Bear mentioned it, but I am just hoping this was a reputable institution and you did not have throat surgery done by some veterinary student in training.

We were all fretful about you and are glad you are on the mend!!

So glad to see Eric taking such good care of you. That neck scar looks painful. But I'm glad you've got that taken care of and can move on with the rest of your life. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

So glad it's come and gone now. Thanks for sharing. You looked so brave! And Eric looked brave too! You should have pretend surgery every once in while to have people look after you like that... except for the surgery part it looked fun.

Jarred and I send all our love!

I meant to ask, did the IV in your hand hurt?? I've only had one twice, but I did not like it at all!

Thanks everyone! And Andria- I did not like that IV in the hand one bit! Luckily though they gave me local anaesthesia before they put it in so it wasn't really so bad. Just annoying. Although it is still bruised and sore.
