MPLS riverfront proposals

Some big name landscape architecture firms across the country have recently submitted proposals to the Minneapolis Parks Foundation for a renovation of the Mississippi riverfront in Minneapolis. This is pretty exciting stuff in the world of landscape architecture. Here are some images from the proposals of:

Tom Leader Studio with KVA:

Turenscape (from Beijing):

Stoss Landscape Urbanism:

Ken Smith:

Chelsea actually interned for Tom Leader Studio in Berkeley last summer. You can see their whole proposal here: http://minneapolisriverfrontdesigncompetition.com/docs/Tom_Leader_Studio_Proposal.pdf

And the website for all the proposals here: http://minneapolisriverfrontdesigncompetition.com/

Still hoping this will be me someday!

I definitely don't like the bottom two designs; the top two are okay.

You will be doing this one day - only better!

These things look cool, but confuse me. I am not nearly smart enough to be a landscape architect. But YOU are!!
