Chad Hansen

As you all know Eric's oldest brother, Chad, died suddenly this past week. I spent most of the week helping Eric's family go through old photos in order to make some posters for Chad's funeral. I just wanted to share some of my favorites so that those of you who did not get to meet Chad could see him and his family.
Chad in 1976, possibly mishandling a kitten :)

All three brothers in 1981. New smurf shirts from Grandma Millie. It was determined that Eric had a decidedly Soren-esque look as a child.

1985, First plane ride, to visit family in Alaska.

Baby Eric, so cute.

Chad and Rachel at their wedding in 1999. This was also the year I met Eric.

Lydia was born in 2001. Here they are her second summer in front of Eric's parent's house on the lake.

Baby Ava.

The brother's with Alex, Jeremy's daughter, in 2006.

The whole family in 2007.

Our last family Christmas picture, just last month.

Favorite picture of Rachel, Chad, Lydia, and Ava.

The brothers in 2009. (Chad, Jeremy, Eric)

Chad and Rachel, same day.

Chad taking Eric and I on a boat ride, just last summer.

We will all miss Chad so much.

These are wonderful pictures. We have been thinking about you and Eric's whole family nonstop.

I LOVE the pictures of Eric and his brothers as kids.....you are right...baby Eric looked a lot like Soren! I think it's the fall of the hair, and the "I'm so sweet....how could I EVER do anything mischevious...heh heh" expression. I love "baby Eric on the plane," as well. That was such a cute picture I actually laughed out loud with delight.

I'm so sad for Eric's family's loss.
