Canopy Tour

Apparently the "canopy tour" is the thing to do while vacationing in Costa Rica. Though Eric and I are both afraid of heights- we braved the ziplines and had an awesome time:

Stepping out onto the first platform.

Our destination (!).

The first one was pretty short- so I guess I was actually smiling. I was too scared to remember.

Eric zips with some trepidation.

And a smile.

One of our guides tossing him off the next platform (note: I did not take these pictures. I was shaking too much. One of our guides took them and gave them to us).

Watching from another, higher, platform.

"Hold me! I'm scared!"

Female Iguana on one of the trees. This tour was actually set up in a teak farm which gets harvested every 12 years.

The lines got longer and longer, and higher and higher as we went.

Brave Eric went upside down on one!

Not me though.

The final line they let us go together. I was supposed to let my arms go and fall upside down- but I was still too scared. Regardless it was an awesome time.

This takes some serious b**ls. The up-close photos of your faces - with their mixture of fear, enjoyment, and intense concentration - are hilarious to look at. Not sure if I could have done this or not.
