5x5 Hooping Video

Here is one of the videos of our "landscape as theater" project, provided by our Professor Hope. This video is an odd mix of boring and bizarre, with the distant angle and the sounds of birds and busses. Don't feel obliged to watch it. It is just a reminder to me that I might really consider working on my form a little more. Hopefully that is the only thing I will have to do this summer :)

Less than two weeks until the end of school!!!

Ah, the grueling pace of graduate school. Personally, I think your form is pretty impressive.

That was kind of surreal, with the distant chime-y music (a clock tower?) and far-away camera work. You are good! I see that you and Shannon like tricks but Chelsea prefers a steady rhythm. A philosophical choice, or just stylistic?

I really want to show Nora all this hooping stuff, but I'm worried that she would become frustrated by her inability to instantly hoop like a pro, and I wouldn't want to deal with her. I know she'd love to see a video of her favorite auntie, though...I'll have to do some soul searching.

Oh I hope you can find it within your soul to introduce Nora to hooping! I have a hunch it is easier for little bodies to do it. We were schooled by some ten-year-olds recently- they could pick up a trick in 1 minute, that took us a day to figure out.
