Thanksgiving in LA

I am home (in austin)! I made it to LA for a crazy Thanksgiving weekend. And now I am back at work. Only one week of classes left, and then one week of finals. Woo-hoo!

Wednesday afternoon- direct from class we raced to the airport. Shannon went to California too, so we carpooled.

Dad and Anne's new home in Sierra Madre. This is the town where Anne grew up. It is very quaint and nice. And the new house is pretty cool.

Anne and Grandma at our first Thanksgiving dinner (which is a story for another day). These pictures are kind of out of order.

We went for a hike up Mt Williams (I think that's what it was) and saw some cool cacti.

And this view into the LA basin,

And this leaf the size of my head (x2).

It was Erik's 30th birthday! So there was pumpkin pie for cake, with candles.

And Anne's mom's dog, Eddy (an eskimo dog and a golden retriever mix). Sooooo nice and soft- I love Eddy!
And of course my "brother," Sunny-poo. Look at that white face- he is already nine years old!

We took out (as in killed) some pies (from Marie Callendar's) and a whole bowl of REAL whipped cream.

And here was all that remained of one delicious 18 lb turkey. The end.
