Mt. Trashmore revisited

Moere Beach (I think Nora would love this!)

Moerenuma Park

Moere Mountain

Cahokian Indian Mound (Illinois)

I am embarking on a new assignment this week which involves designing a landfill site in two stages: for use and for a park after use, a la trashmore. The interesting part is that the designated site that we are to design upon is in St Louis, MO. And as preparation I have been assigned to make a powerpoint presentation on the Cahokia Indian Burial Mounds in the area. (Dave and Andria: FYI you should go to the Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site in Collinsville, IL. It looks cool) I just thought that was an interesting coincidence. I am also researching a converted landfill site in Japan called Moerenuma Park. Above are some pics to show you how really creative landscape architecture can be.
