Krause Springs

We took a day trip to Krause Springs, a natural spring swimming hole about 35 miles SW of Austin. It was amazing! I'm sad to say these pictures don't do it justice at all. It is a beautiful oasis, with a waterfall, and rock-bottom swimming pools, and a rope swing. It was a great trip.




And, to continue my series on the creepy-crawlies of Texas, here's a flippin' HUGE spider we saw in a tree by the pool. It was at least the length of my hand!
