Hope

Here is Christina (my classmate, left) with Hope Hasbrouck, my Professor for the summer, and the graduate advisor who I met with when I visited Austin last winter. Hope is going to Rome for a year sabbatical, and we all went out with her last night for a little going away party. I just wanted to say that Hope is totally awesome. And even though she gave me a 'B' (though everyone else seemed to get a 'B+'), I still think she will be one of my favorite teachers of all time. She is always positive, supportive, and encouraging. She is also one of Andria's people (i.e. natural redhead). She has professional degrees in both architecture and landscape architecture, yet she is still really down to earth and fun.  And she is a past professor at Harvard who is responsible for recruiting a large teaching staff from there for UT. Just thought you guys might like to see. Love, Brit

Hope looks like a nice person. But, why, oh why, would she give my Britta a "B"!? You know, I don't believe that everyone else got "B+'s" - I think it might have been "D+'s" and you just didn't hear them correctly. :-)

Wow, Chelsea has huge, beautiful eyes. That's a great photo of the three of you.

We missed you at the picnic yesterday. It was an absolutely beautiful day. Talk to you soon. Love you, Mom

I don't like this "Hope" at all. She is NOT one of my people, for my people do not give Auntie B a 'B.'
