My New Home Away from Home

Here's a look at the Architecture building where I will be spending all of my time for the next three years. Its quite beautiful, I think.

That's the Architecture building on the left, the fountain in front, and the student commons on the right. This is all on Guadalupe street (pronounced 'Gwad-a-loop') which is the main college drag in town, kind of like Dinky Town.

The famous Belltower, where it all happened. So far, no one has made mention of that.
This is the studio we are working in for the summer. Its the old library. We will be moving into a permanent studio space starting in September.

And, my first project. We are really starting with the basics. Black and Gray squares on white paper. I'm excited that this is over, because we are starting drafting exercises already this weekend.

Wow, your drafting spaces, though temporary, look really cool and inspiring. The facades of the buildings are very pretty, too - I agree. And although the incident in question is very sad, I guiltily laughed at the way you tip-toed around it.

Great pictures! I, too, began to feel creative and productive just looking at those drafting tables. Well, not really. But I think if I sat at one, I could be. It's great to see the spaces where you're living and working.
