The Journey

Well, I got the film developed from my FunSaver, which mostly just served to remind me that those disposable cameras really suck, and that is why I don't use them. Anyhow, here are a couple pics that turned out moderately well...
The Barett's came to see me off. Gosh, I really love my family :)
Here's the car before she turned into a super bitch and decided she really didn't want to go to Texas. Everything looks so promising! I already miss those beautiful summer days in Minnesota.
Here's Erik trying to assess the damage moments after we screeched into the Ruby's Cafe parking lot in Purcell, Oklahoma, pouring smoke from the exhaust. Lucky for us a waitress at this cafe served us breakfast and then super graciously loaned us her car so we could go get a UHaul.
Hours later, and many tens of degrees hotter, we are loaded up and ready to go. Only another 300 miles to Austin!
And here, a few miles later, Austin appears for the first time on a road sign. Suffice it to say, we made it safe and sound.

You can tell the situation with the car is grave just by Erik's body language. I think your Funsaver photos turned out okay, but I'm glad you saw the error of your ways. I mean, why would you, who has a top-of-the-line camera, use a Funsaver anyway??
